NEESWood is a consortium of researchers led by John W. van de Lindt, associate professor of civil engineering at Colorado State University; co-principal investigators are Symans at Rensselaer; Rachel Davidson, assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering at Cornell University; Andre Filiatrault, professor of civil, structural and environmental engineering at the University at Buffalo; and David V. Rosowsky, professor and head of the department of civil engineering at Texas A&M University.
