UNC and Colorado State University cover 100 percent of tuition for resident and nonresident veteran undergraduate students – the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs matches up to 50 percent of the college’s contribution – while about 30 other public and private schools in the state offer lesser breaks on tuition.
