We pass laws to make sure that people working full time have access to health care,” said Anders Fremstad, an assistant professor in Colorado State University’s Economics Department. “(Those jobs come with) pensions, retirement accounts. We haven’t set up similar benefits yet to people in the sharing economy or the gig economy, and we need to think about that. These people should get to retire, too.”
