Sopris Sun: Miskus wrote this most recent U.S. Drought Monitor Report, and his work was supported by reports from the Colorado Climate Center at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Their recommendations noted that the improvements had occurred mostly in southwestern and central Colorado, but also clarified that “areas not being improved still have very large deficits and need much more snow before we start improving, like northwest and north central Colorado.”
